About Us

It’s in our blood.

Mahoney & Mahoney was founded in 1978 by Patrick F. Mahoney. The elder Mahoney rented office space in Fort Washington for several decades before purchasing the current Waldorf office in 1990.  His son, Kevin, joined in 1992 as a law clerk and then as an attorney in 1993. While Patrick Mahoney has now retired, he is now of counsel to the firm.

The Mahoneys specialize in personal injury from auto accidents, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, boating accidents, cycling accidents, as well as medical malpractice.

Trusted experience.

Patrick grew up in the hills of Nevada and attended the University of Nevada at Reno before earning his JD at Georgetown University Law School. Patrick fell in love with this area and settled down in Maryland for good.

Kevin grew up in Prince George’s County and attended the University of Maryland, College Park, majoring in finance. He worked for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company before attending law school at Western Michigan University. He graduated with honors in the accelerated program and joined his father’s firm the following year.

The two have served clients and their families throughout the region including Charles, Prince George’s, Calvert, St. Mary’s, Anne Arundel, and nearly all other counties in Maryland. In addition, they serve clients in Washington, D.C. and have a strong working relationship with another law firm to handle cases in Virginia.

Community partners.

As a long time business in the Southern Maryland Area, we proudly support our community with yearly donations to local community outreach programs such as Camp Crazy Faith, Holiday Food drives, and back to school backpack giveaways. We also sponsor a local Southern Maryland Softball league and contribute to multiple other programs and schools including St. Mary’s Bryantown.

Mahoney & Mahoney, LLC is also proud to support the Navy Seal Foundation’s Trident Swim in Annapolis.

The firm has proudly supported Charles County softball for more than 20 years and their team, Mahoney & Mahoney LLC, was voted into the National Softball Hall of Fame in 2018.
